There are many challenges to researching our female ancestors. Maiden names, cultural differences and, name changes during immigration are just a few of the stumbling blocks we come across.
What You Will Learn:
You’ll begin your course by developing a solid research strategy by discussing home and family sources that you may not have considered. Further discussions include the various records that are available and may hold the information you are searching for. Social history, naming practices, cultural considerations, and immigration records are among the topics explored. By the end of the course you will be well on your way to telling the stories of your female ancestors.
