February is Scottish Family History Month!
This is an annual event which is a series of talks that are organized by two UK genealogy magazines: Family Tree, and Scottish History. Their sponsors include the University of Strathclyde and the National Library of Scotland.
Our Director of Scottish Records, Alison Spring, M Litt. QG, is giving a presentation as part of the event! Entitled “Sailing to Philadelphia: Where did my Scots ancestors go?” she will be discussing emigrant Scottish ancestors and how to trace them. Alison’s presentation takes place on Wednesday, February 14 at noon Glasgow time.
The talks are recorded and will be available for a short time afterwards for those who are unable to attend live. There is also a Q&A session after each talk.
Details and ticket prices for the event are at: https://www.family-tree.co.uk/how-to-guides/scottish-family-history-month-2024/
