The Genealogist's Guide to Family History Interviews, our 2nd book in The Genealogist's Guide Series, is an excellent tool that gives you questions and prompts to record and preserve family memories. Available in convenient spiral bound and ebook versions.
Suggested uses both in person and online—but also consider using a video recording with AI transcript capabilities whether in person or over the internet to allow you hands-free conversational connection with your loved one or client.
*Always ask permission to record.
Both the Spiral bound and 3-hole punch versions are 30 pages jammed full of interview prompts and lays flat to help you manage your conversation, not fight the book's pages. The spiral bound also has a clear PVC cover on front/back while the 3-hole punch format is designed to store in a binder (not included). The ebook version page length is determined by the settings in your ereader.
We're considering a paperback, drop a note in the chat app at GenealogicalStudies.com to Angie if you have an opinion on that format.
